Bloomers

The other day I was talking to my co-workers about bloomers. I kind of wish people would bring back the ruffled underwear that women would wear under dresses and skirts...
We'll Betsey never seems to fail! Her Spring 2009 collection had some! =)

Granted, I don't think i have the guts enough to wear them, but I think they are pretty dam awesome!

Movies

My Blueberry Nights

A month back,  I finally was in the appropriate mood for Wong Kar Wai's film, My Blueberry Nights. I finally sat down and watched it. Like most of his films, it tackled the issues of lost love. People struggling to get over past lovers. The women characters in the film were definitely the strong point of the film. I thought Natalie Portman, Rachel Weitz made their characters interesting. But overall, the film just felt like another film... not his best. I am afraid my expectations were a bit high, as at the end, i was a little disappointed. though, i don't even know exactly what i expected, but i guess i built it up in my mind.

Open City

I went with a good friend of mine to see Open City at the Korean Film Festival that was in the city a few weeks ago. I have to say,  I really enjoyed this film about the underworld pickpocketing gangs in Seoul, Korea. I was a little skeptical at first about the premise of the film, but found it to be quite enjoyable. it had ALL the great qualities of Korean film making: corny/funny comic moments, DRAMA, action sequences and story plot line twist and turns. Plus, one of my favorite older Korean actresses that was in one of my favorite Korean dramas was in it, which was a pleasant surprise.

Erin Fetherston

A week ago, I went to my first fashion show at Bryant park. It was the Erin Fetherston show for the 2009 Spring collection. I have to say the amount of hype and money put into Fashion Week is quite impressive, but also, the absurdity of it all is also amazing. We saw Nigel Barker from America's Next Top model and any of the "it" high fashion models. The show was very anti climactic i have to say... and too puffy, no that impressive, jellyfish, cloudy inspired frocks were kind of hideous. but overall it was an interesting and kind of fun experience.

My 2 least favorite looks:

I mean jellyfish anyone?
